Description
Monk strap boots in suede, fastened with a buckle instead of laces. The monk strap sits between a lace-up and a slip-on: smarter than one, easier than the other, and far less common than either, which is the point.
The buckle adjusts the fit across the instep in one movement rather than relaunching your laces every morning. Suede softens with wear and looks better after six months, as long as you brush the nap now and then.
They go under tailored trousers, with chinos, or with dark denim when you want something sharper than a boot with laces. Blue is a genuine alternative if you already own brown and black.
